 Kelly Lorek
 

   Kelly Lorek, who has ridden for over thirty years is the founder of Madrone Ranch which she started in 2002.  Kelly began riding with Pat Boyle of Springhill Farm in Illinois.  While there she showed in the Junior Hunters, Junior Jumpers and medaled in MACLAY and USET.  At the age of fourteen she rode in both a Mini Prix and a Grand Prix and subsequently became a pro at the age of nineteen.  After teaching and riding for over six years in Virginia for Chris Wynne, she moved to Texas where she worked for Glen Johnson for four years.

   Kelly's  students regularly finish in the top of CENTEX, THJA and ZONE 7 circuits.  She has students who have shown from beginners, children's Hunters, juniors and adult Hunters, Jumpers, to the Pony Finals.  She has been extremely successful in showing horses from baby greens, first year Hunters to the Jumper ring.   Kelly is a US Hunter Jumper Association, USHJA, Certified Trainer.

 
Bay Henion

   Bay Henion has been riding for over forty years and teaching for over twenty five years.  As one of the most experienced trainers in Central Texas, Bay has trained at all levels of competition while helping countless riders try to maximize their skills in the ring.  She joined Madrone Ranch in 2003.  Her connections in the equestrian business have allowed her to assist many customers in finding the right horses to purchase or sell.  Bay has trained young riders that have gone on to be members of College Equestrian teams.  Her passions for excellence has transferred down to her daughter Katie Henion who was MVP Equestrian rider at Texas A&M (2005 & 2007).






Rachel Lindsey

 

     

Born and raised in Austin, Rachel began riding at the age of 6. She grew up riding at Switch Willo Stables and continued riding there through her early twenties. She has won numerous year end awards at both CenTex and "A"  rated shows in hunters and jumpers up thru the grand prix level.  Rachel became a professional at the age of 18, and worked as an assistant trainer for Glen Johnson at Switch Willo for 7 years. After that, she worked as assistant trainer for Susan Baginski at Baskin Farm in St Louis, Missouri. She returned to Texas March 2012 and she joined Madrone Ranch as a trainer and manager.

 

Carly Johns

    Carly Johns comes to Madrone Ranch Stables from Georgia.  She has competed successfully in hunter, jumper, and equitation divisions in both local and "A" show circuit winning numerous year end awards and qualifying for the Medal Maclay Finals.  Carly was an assistant trainer and professional rider for Janet Salem at Patchwork Farms in Alpharetta, GA specializing in beginner and intermediate students.  In 2003, Carly received a scholarship to ride for the University of South Carolina.  She was a key member of the Varsity Equestrian Hunt Seat team which won National Titles in 2005, 2006, and 2007.  She was captain of the team during the 06-07 season in which the hunt seat team went undefeated and won the overall national title.  She graduated in 2007 with degrees in Marketing and Management.  Carly enjoys teaching students of all ages and thrives to help her students achieve their individual riding goals.
