Madrone Ranch Trainers

Born and raised in Austin, Rachel began riding at the age of 6. She grew up riding at Switch Willo Stables and continued riding there through her early twenties. She has won numerous year end awards at both CenTex and "A" rated shows in hunters and jumpers up thru the grand prix level. Rachel became a professional at the age of 18, and worked as an assistant trainer for Glen Johnson at Switch Willo for 7 years. After that, she worked as assistant trainer for Susan Baginski at Baskin Farm in St Louis, Missouri. She returned to Texas March 2012 and she joined Madrone Ranch as a trainer and manager.

Cassandra Clarkson

Cassandra grew-up in New England and fell in love with horses during her first riding lesson at the age of 5. She rode a variety of horses and disciplines throughout college including hunt seat, dressage, and driving. After several freezing winters in northern Vermont Cassandra decided to head south. She moved to Texas in 2012 where she worked for Lanes End Farm and later Pine Hollow Farm. She has a wide range of experience ranging from: grooming at WEF in Wellington, FL, managing an in-depth lesson program, organizing sales and “AA” show barns, and running local horse shows. Her teaching starts with good horsemanship and a focus on creating clear communication between horse and rider. Cassandra both supports and challenges clients by identifying their individual goals. Whether it is a local or AA show, her love and genuine enjoyment of the horses and the sport is evident.

Debbie Seymour

Debbie was excited to join the Madrone Ranch Stables Family in 2016. She started teaching in 1991 at Westbridge Equestrian, where she enjoyed starting riders, training horses and taking them to the show rings of TSSA, Centex, and A shows. After Westbridge closed in 2005, Debbie helped establish Bit by Bit Farm. Debbie has also worked as trainer/barn manager for LoneStar Stables and as a freelance trainer for some great central Texas barns. Debbie firmly believes in establishing a strong foundation in basic riding skills, providing riders the opportunity to challenge themselves, and teaching respect and responsibility for the horse in a fun, and safe atmosphere.

Jenni Kayser - Barn Manager

Jenni began riding at a young age and has been fortunate enough to ride at different stables on the east coast as well as in the Chicago land area. Jenni has experience competing on the NIJHA circuit as well the ‘A’ show circuit. While riding in North Carolina she was introduced to the care and management aspect of the horse industry, which propelled her to attain an Equine Science degree from the University of Findlay. At Findlay she trained with many trainers including Michelle Arnold and Russ Walter. She moved to Texas in 2016, and shortly after, she joined Madrone Ranch Stables as our Barn Manager.
